International Schools Software Competition (ISSC)

ISSCThis competition commenced in 1989 in Singapore and continued every year. It has provided an immense service to the younger generation and motivated them to embrace the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT).

The competition is hosted by the member countries in the region with the aim of bringing out problem solving and programming talents in school students in competitive environment, at the international level. The competition also provides an opportunity for students from the Asia Pacific Region to meet and exchange valuable experience in the field of ICT and to acquire better awareness of culture, life-style and aspirations of each other’s country, leading to social harmony in the region.

The International Schools Software Competition 2016 (ISSC 2016), of SEARCC will be held between 4th & 6thNovember 2016 at Dayanand Sagar university, Bangalore – 560 068, India. The Computer Society of India (CSI) will be the host Society this year.
In accordance with the normal practices, the activities of the event are spread over three days as indicated below.
04 November 2016 – Arrival of Participants at Bangalore, India
05 November 2016 – Trial Competition / Visit to Places of Importance & Networking       
06 November 2016 – Main Competition & Awards Ceremony          
06 November 2016 – Departure of Participants

Though the last date for Registration was 20th September 2016, CSI will accept registration till 10th October 2016.
DO NOT DELAY REGISTRATION and register immediately with available details, so that necessary visa application will be processed on time.

International Schools Software Competition 2011

ISSC 2011 Winning team – Republic of China (Taiwan): Chiang Shen-Wen, Cho Ching-Pin & Chen Huang-Ting. Director Rajalakshmi Engineering College Duh Ling-Jiun (Chaperon) and Prof.Jim-Min Lin (Secretary-CSROC) after receiving the SEARCC trophy from Yasa Karunaratne (Secretary General – SEARCC).

SEARCC International Micromouse Competition

The Micromouse Competition was started as a trial run in 1995 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This competition was conducted from 1996 to 2000.

International Internet Competition

The International Internet Competition was conducted only once in 1998 in Darwin hosted by The Australian Computer Society.
