Management
The
supreme authority of SEARCC is vested in the Executive Council of
SEARCC. The Executive Council meets twice a year. At least one of
these meetings is in the country in which the forthcoming regional
conference will be held.
The operational responsibility of SEARCC is undertaken by the Secretary General of SEARCC who is assisted by up to two Assistant Secretary Generals. The Secretariat of SEARCC is in the country of the Secretary General. The Secretary General is elected by the Executive Council and serves a term of three years and the Assistant Secretary Generals are elected by the Executive Council and serve a term of two years. They could be re-elected.
The
President of SEARCC is elected at the end of each SEARCC Conference
and serves in that role until the end of the next SEARCC Conference. |
